Coming this August, North End Restaurateur Nick Varano of The Varano Group will open another Strega location at the Waterfront at Fan Pier! With the option for both indoor dining (complemented by two fireplaces and plenty of flat screen TV’s in the bar area) and outdoor patio dining, guests will enjoy the atmosphere along with Executive Chef Salvatore Firicano’s authentic Italian dishes. Similar to the North End Strega restaurant, the menu will include classic Italian favorites such as Caprese salad, Frutta de mare, Fettuccine Alla Carbonara, and Nick Varano’s famous Meatballs. A perfect accompaniment to a hearty Italian dinner, there will also be an onsite café, the Caffé di Marina, featuring imported Italian equipment, where diners will enjoy paninis, crepes, gelato, and pastries.

“My passion lies within food, family, and the city of Boston, who has shown me an immense amount of hospitality since opening the doors of the original Strega seven years ago. I take great pride in having the opportunity to contribute to the culinary landscape of our city through Strega, Nico, Nick Varano’s Famous Deli and now Strega – Waterfront at Fan Pier. Treating every guest like a celebrity has been the mantra of my hospitality career from the beginning, and this belief will continue to hold true with the exciting launch of our waterfront location. With unparalleled Italian cuisine, a design that radiates the beauty of a majestic transatlantic cruise ship and a décor that reflects the glamour of days past, Strega – Fan Pier will no sooner be the crown jewel of the Boston Harbor,” exclaims Varano.

The restaurant is said to open at the end of next month! It will provide guests with lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The hours will be 11:30 am – 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm- 2:00 am. For more information on Nick Varano and The Varano Group or further details about the new Strega, visit the website.
